We hear it all the time, that we should be lifting weights and building muscle. But why? These are the three reasons women want muscles.


Everyone wants that toned look and bigger muscles is the way to get it. The more you work your muscles, the more they grow and the more you'll see them. This is what gives you that toned look you want. Lifting give you muscles and muscles give you tone.

Metabolism Boost

Lifting weights naturally boosts your metabolic rate. This means that regular sessions of intense weigh lifting can raise your metabolism so high that your body will continue to burn calories for hours, even after your exercise sessions. This is known as the afterburn effect and is linked to faster weight loss.

Bone Strength/Density

Lifting weights has shown (in many studies) to be beneficial in slowing bone loss and even building bone. This is beyond useful to help offset age-related declines in bone mass as activities that put stress on bones can nudge bone-forming cells. This results in stronger, denser bones.
